I mean I understand some people are just ignorant and like to talk trash and be direspectful and i could care a less about that but once someone touches me they are fair game for physical pain. I think it is ridiculous that any human being thinks they have the right to touch someone else in any type of agressive manner unless they or their family are in some type of danger.

I am not saying I am a badass by any means, but no matter how big someone is, you cant let people do things to you like that. I would rather possibly get my *** kicked than to live with that feeling you get later on when you let someone do something like that to you. I had that feeling after a few mild altercations from my younger days, and it is one of the most awful feelings I have ever experienced personally. On top of that you must live next to this guy for at least the near future, and now he probably thinks you cannot be taken seriously. I dont know man, but this is definitely a bad situation now.:shakes head:

some of my buddies are blue collar automotive type and they kinda talk like that sometimes. they pretend to roughen you up when they're trying to make a point by shaking you around. can't take it? then you're a pxxxy... well, in their world.

of course i tell them to get their hands off of me cause i dont take crap, but it's like a usual thing for them in their language dynamics.

I'm with you...

I don't give a flyin F*** what his opinion was, had he grabbed me by the neck we'd of been on.

I agree with the three previous posts. Even back in high school when guys were 'play fighting' I was very uncomfortable unless it was a good friend.

For me when things get physical, they get serious unless I know you personally and we are both smiling and joking with each other.

When it's a stranger and we're having a disagreement, the second physical contact is made by the other person, things escalate immediately.

It's not always the best way, but everyone has a comfort level, and you should never presume to lay your hands on another person you don't know VERY well.

Sounds like the guy is a typical redneck.. If you want to get back on his good side, buy him a set of BumperNutz and a shania twain CD.

+1;000,000,000,000 on this one. That arm placed on the op shoulda been broken outta principle but...

Why did the op stay there for so long trying to have conversation with a guy he was able to see right off the bat, is an a$$hole??? Was he really that bored and had notthing better to do but force conversation with a redneck idiot? And after a verbal assault and physical disrespect your reaction is to clean your clean 370z?

Honestly when the ahole new neighbor started talkin crap I woulda said have a nice day and minded my neck. Some people aren't worth your time and if you are telling this new guy, the last neighbors were meticulous and good neighbors, he might have taken it like you were all up in the old neighbors business and was being hostile right up front because of his assumptions. Maybe he don't give 2 sh1ts or doesn't care about the last neighbors and the op was annoyiing the crap out of him??? So maybe he became prejudiced and began spewing rhetoric to annoy the op on purpose??? There's always 3 sides to a story. We are only seeing one.

The fault is on both parties for the negative convo but there is still no reason for that jerk to touch the op.

I am Native American, Cherokee to be specific and I drive a Z. Can't get anymore American than that.

I have a philosophy, if you're a "car guy" it doesn't matter where it is made. I have a buddy who is like that, too.

Funny thing is, a lot of our friends are into Harleys and have that "Jap crap" group-think going on. One of them is like "Dave, why do you drive that Jap car?" and I go "Because its' awesome, dumbass."
