You're kidding, right? You obviously did not read what I wrote; namely (emphasis added):

It's not about how many more drops of gas you can get in the tank - it's about trusting the gas gauge reading. And I especially wouldn't rely on the gas guage at the bottom of the tank if I can't rely on it at the top of the tank, nor would I think very many people are going to run the tank dry to find out where "E" really is...
