I believe when you're parking out in the boondocks one space is common courtesy.

What Keb said. If I were to see a car parked out obviously trying to avoid people, I will give them space out of common courtesy. And it's not like his truck is at risk for door dings like the Z either.

You guys are right though, at least he parked like a competent human being.
