I often blame pick-ups for the idiot driving, but I think it's just because idiot driving is just so much more obvious and offensive in something large and boxy and designed for dirt roads and driving into ditches instead of the sassy punk driving I mostly see from pick-ups. A Cobalt or Honda Fit (or Z!) driving like that--you wouldn't look twice. A big pick-up, well, they just stand out because it doesn't fit. And just looks silly. Then they back straight into concrete walls, and you're like :ugh2:
I mean, if you want to drive like a boy racer, get something designed for that. |

Both accidents I've been in were caused by the driver of a pick-up truck, but for insurance purposes were considered my fault. This is why they are my natural enemy! Almost happened another time when my sister was driving my Z with me in the passenger seat. :shakes head:

When I had my 350Z. Although the person wasn't too close, given the number of empty spots all over the lot I don't understand why they decided to park next to me. My Z was all by itself and no other cars anywhere near when I parked.

Sometimes I will park my car (whatever I'm driving) next to a nice car to PROTECT it from idiots as a favour to the owner of the nice car. If I am there then no idiot can park there instead... just a thought.
I have seen people do this to my Z and I have thanked them for it. Invariably they say the same thing, "I would not want to have some @$$ park 2 inches away from my nice car either". Quote:
