I am in a downtown parking lot that is really small and a tight fit even for my 370z. There were literally like 10 f350 trucks parked in this lot. some were extended cab/bed trucks. I almost could not leave the parking lot because they were blocking the aisles. Why drive such a huge truck downtown into highly congested areas? I don't understand why people commute in such ridiculously huge vehicles.

Maybe you stumbled upon an f350 meet :ugh2: :p

I love how small and nimble our cars are. I was parked like the above picture today at a client, a foot away from the curb. My co-worker has a new 4 door Honda Accord, backed in as well but with the tire right on the curb, rear hanging over the curb/grass. Her car still stuck out further than mine. :tup:

Backing in to a previously defined empty space is a lot easier than backing out with the huge blind spots we have.

At first I backed in to be cool, I'll admit it, but then I did it just because it's easier on my nerves in the end.

was leaving the local best buy today and thank god i was leaving. got into my car and these 2 knuckleheads pull in and park whereever they felt like it for the most part. the green on was first, he's not even close to being in one spot. and the black guy in the red just didn't give a damn. i bet he's never tow'd a damn thing with those mirriors either.

I was here first. What would he have done if I had been perfectly in my lines instead of hugging the wall like I usually do (for reasons like this)? Would he have just plowed right in and taken off my mirror? :shakes head:

I hate it when people can park somewhere else and they park next to you like that, so unnecessary.

i see trucks do this all the time...i used to think the same until i got a truck lol...sometimes big trucks need a lil wiggle room...

if i do it i always park in the booneys and try to only take the front and back spot, that way im not taking side spots too...

i found it very different parking my new truck verses my previous 370z :p

I have an F150, and I would never , ever, park like that...

I don't even hug the lines...If I get out and it looks wrong, I get back in and re-park it...

Check the dodge in the back. Perfect. I can see your point though with the big mirrors. But also i can park a ups truck in these spots no problem lol. I might stick out a bit n the front though as my truck is a bit longer.

That truck is hilarious. I think it's funny that these trucks get like 2 gallons per mile to start with then some wannabe redneck hangs every dumbass accessory off of it to double it's weight.

I saw this at Home Depot this morning in a near-empty parking lot. It boggles the mind.

Like everyone else, seems to be an affliction with trucks and minivans, mostly.

I understand the fear. It seems those with kids in public think they can do whatever they want because they have kids.

However I think minivans can be safe to park near as the front doors are short and have no reach then the rear doors slide. If you could keep the rugrats from fingering the paint then it would be perfect.

This was today at walmart, and yes it was packed....

I can't clear my driveway without angles and very low speed, much less any curb over a few inches. Looks like the driver is standing there with the tow truck guy - should have stopped and asked him what happened :icon17:
