Won't you try parking the correct way and then we'll see if the room is adaquent enough before you start issuing complaints.

Why don't you take a trip here and see for yourself since you don't believe me when I say it isn't a full size space?

Let me say why I don't think it's a full sized space. I don't really think there's legislation around it but parking spaces less than 8 feet wide are generally deemed compact car parking only. This parking space is right at or below 7 feet wide. I don't argue that I'm on the line...I honestly thought no one parked there. I notice that the person driving that jeep parks there everyday regardless of how close the vehicle next to them is. I've since decided to park elsewhere since this person thinks (however erred in judgment I think they are) it's an okay parking spot.

Not trying to blame the victim here, but it seems to me that parking a Z next to a curb like that creates a situation where a (usually big-*** SUV) driver simply sees a huge parking spot that is easy to get into and allows him to park as he wishes. These idiots don't need much encouragement.

I try to park next to curbs like this, but I don't park so close and I really prefer to have more than one open parking space on the opposite side.

This is the kind of parking that makes me want to go postal!!!! My wife and I saw this one as we were leaving the food king! No tag displayed or handicap plates. It also seemed that he had no problem walking. He was able to walk even better than most of us. I even said to him that he was parked in a handicapped parking spot, however he just ignored us and went on in!! :shakes head:

Im with you man I hate the behavior this type of people.

Isn't driving a minivan enough of a handicap?

Is this in Travis county? I am part of a volunteer program and deputized to issue tickets ($500 min fine) for violations such as this. Please PM me if you are interested in learning more about the program or if you would like my number or the hotline number to report these violators when you encounter them.

Also, please be aware ..... disabilities are not always visible. Just because someone does not show difficulties walking does not mean they do not have a legitimate reason for parking in a handicap spot with a valid plate or placard.
