For the record I've always thought that parking like this is fine, especially when following rule #1: keep it far and out of the way. I'll park at the very back unused part of a parking lot (or in this case the bottom) for the extra space. For reference co-worker in the mazda does the same thing there is nobody else on that floor.

Edit: added parking at costco, our local costco's parking spots aren't much bigger maybe a foot off standard californian, but they are about 10 feet long im parked to the front of the stall. Again on the other side of the parking lot.

:ninja3:

still a db move.

And yet some how I'm still ok with it. The closest car is 150 feet away, and last time I parked in the lines I had some *** hat decide that the next spot over was the best spot for him. :ohsnap1:

It may provide the space but it's just an invitation for some douchecanoe to mess with your car. I like to get an end spot and get as close to the curb as possible

Gym parking lot always has atleast one cool guy.

iamcobolt 08-13-2014 02:22 PM

So really the guy messing with the car is the db in that case I wen't out of my way to be as far from other people as possible so if they are going out of their way to mess with my car screw them.

But what's the point to crappy park?

exactly. you can park all the way in the back and still just take up one spot. at least it won't make you look like an entitled db

SouthArk370Z 08-14-2014 12:56 PM

If someone is parked well away from other cars and the lot is not very full, I don't see it as being douchey to take up multiple spaces. If the lot is near capacity and you're parked weird*, then, yeah, you're a douchebag.

IMNSHO, taking up more than two spaces, even if parking in the middle of nowhere, is the penultimate in parking douchebaggery. Taking a handicapped space takes the cake.

*I have seen situations where the lot was full and I had to park weird because that was all the space that was left (the preceding drivers parked weird). Looks bad when you come back out and there are no cars nearby. :)

We have a winner.
I watched this guy back in all the way up to the road work sign, ahead of the "No Parking: Here to Corner" sign.

Truth be told, his parallel parking skills were not crappy at all.

cooltoy 08-14-2014 03:30 PM

His house maybe?

Good job on the first pic!

On the other side, with the costco pic... Unfortunately, dbs dont see it that way. They may be the dbs, but youll be the one with a scratched up car. (knock on wood) that your car or anyone elses car here NEVER gets messed by some lowlife a**hole

Did anyone spot the 350z in the costco pic?
