What champions. As to which oil I dunno yet, my local Autobahn has Motul, Pennzoil and Red Line... I guess I'll get the one with the best marketing claim about being the best... no seriously... i have no idea what i'll get and may just use the cheapest synthetic available considering i'll be sticking strictly to the 6 month service interval and I don't redline it...
You saw that I provided the UOA results for Redline at 9k miles, right?

Has anybody else done the OA with other oils, I dont mean to be a jerk but as good as that report is, it is relatively useless without comparitive data?

I don't entirely agree with that statement. While it may be useless in the context of a 'which oil is best?' discussion until we see UOAs with other oils, by itself it's at least useful in that it shows Redline does a good job at protecting this engine. Does it do a better job than any other oil? Couldn't tell ya. But the UOA I did with Redline at least didn't throw any red flags, like some other oils did on the 350Z (Motul comes to mind). Hopefully as time progresses, other 370Z owners using other oils will share their UOA results, and we can start doing side by side comparisons. But for now, this UOA at least tells us that Redline is a safe choice.

Default Finally, some scientific data...

The oil used is Mobil1 0-40. It is a PAO/Ester blend (Type IV/V). All Mobil1 oils are not the same, and I refuse to call all Mobil1s "synthetic." Some of the Mobil1s are Type III which is based upon petroleum. Mobil1 0-40 is factory/service fill for a lot of high-end performance vehicles. That said, it may or may not be the best oil for the VQ37HR, but you certainly can do worse.
.....UAO is what we should be looking at on this thread, as well as manufacturer test data, not opinions, nor visual cues (color of the oil). Good job CaspianM, kudos to the UOA post above!
