Read the TSB (that Trip already posted). If they look like the picture on the right, you have the wrong ones and they will eventually break - and more than likely get stuck on the wheel requiring a time consuming and potentially expensive removal.

Here it is again.
TSB: 2009 nissan 370z / 350z; accessory locking wheel nuts

Also it is not that they are faulty, they just aren't designed for this car. Dealers are just assuming that the 370Z and the 350Z will share just about all the same parts but that is not the case on many of the finer details.

After my experience this past weekend, I agree 100%. It's going to be hard for me to trust dealerships anymore.

Brought car in for simple alignment. Tech drove it 20 miles for test drive, put rock chips on hood and car was making funny noise when engaging clutch for about 30 mins after I got car back.

From now on I will have to watch the entire process I guess.

I took my car to the car wash yesterday and it sounded like the guy was launnching the car to move it 10 feet. He must've had the clutch burning at 4000 rpms. It was a little Hispanic guy working for tips so I felt bad and didn't say anything, but in all honesty if you want something done right, you need to do it yourself.

I will, however, say that as bad as some dealerships are, I have seen ones that are just that good.

Colonial Nissan in PA is so good it's scary. Fred Beans Nissan in PA is also good too. Had some install issues with aftermarket parts, they took me back in the next day, no appt, and fixed it free of charge.

1. Why would you ever take your car to a car wash -- just asking for trouble.

2. True, there are good dealerships. Like in any industry there is a range of good to bad service providers. My local dealership (Maita Nissan) is good and their staff are smart. I only use them for inspections while under warranty, though.

3. Why do people feel that they need to point out peoples' race when they make comments? Seriously, in this racial hodge-podge of our society, who cares? Also, who knows what race people are by looking? It does not matter, does it?

Easy there Sensitive Sally. I spoke Spanish to him as I have previously. He is from Guatemala. I am from NJ. I'm a gringo but who doesn't speak spanish nowadays. I came in just before it closed and he rode away on his bicycle. So I didn't see the need to make a big deal of him burning up my clutch. I didn't want to get him into trouble. And since it's a free country (until Obama gives more of it away), I will use whatever identifiers I please. I realize you are in Cali and things are very different there in terms of social norms and people being "laid back". But where I come from we are a little more in your face and don't take nicely to people telling us how to speak :-). PS Caucasians have officially been a minority in California since 2008, so enough with the bleeding heart stuff.

And I've been to this car wash before. They do a fine job cleaning the car. I don't have the kind of time to waste washing my car in my driveway during the week. I had pollen all over the rear windshield and a bird apparently had explosive diarrhea on my rear fender. It had to be done. I wish I had time to kill in my driveway washing my car. I work too much. I wish it was different. I do it when I can when the weather is nice. I'm not going to spite myself by driving around with bird **** on my car just because I dont have the time to wash it myself.

Just FYI - Fontana is not in Los Angeles.

To the OP: You might want to file a complaint with Nissan...

Yeah, Jersey guys like you have it made, what with all that "in-your-face" stuff and what-not. Stereotyping as you do is a great way to go through life without having to think too much, which I think is another huge advantage.

As for the "bleeding heart" comment, that is truly original and I think I will amuse my parole officer with it during our next visit.

BTW: pollen is easy to remove with a car duster and bird crap with quick detailing spray and a microfiber -- just trying to help.

Have a great day and say hello to Snooki the next time you see her. She is your state's best, right?

Not everyone in Jersey is a stereotypical a******.....why does everyone hate jersey so mmuch, was the jersey shore that bad of a representation. Before you go off on your rant about how this is racist or stereotypical I can bet you any amount of money that there has been a moment in your life where you were stereotypical about someone, it's basically instinct.

My post was tongue in cheek and directed at BLM. Trust me, there is much more stuff to make fun of here in California than in New Jersey. No offense meant to New Jersey as a whole.

To the OP: Nissan dealerships are no different on this end of the country.

My "Intelligent" BWAAAHAAHAA...excuse me... key system quit working. Owners manual says "car will be impossible to crank. have it towed to dealership."

I call REED NISSAN - where I am a long time customer having bought my 370Z, a 350Z and a pickup there - and tell them I am having the car towed to them.

As my UNDER WARRANTY 370Z is sitting on the flat bed behind me the service manager says they CAN LOOK AT IT IN A WEEK, MAYBE, IF THEY CAN SQUEEZE IT IN.

I ask why so long? he says BECAUSE YOU DID NOT HAVE AN APPOINTMENT.

I apologized for not being clairvoyant and foreseeing the complete f$#king failure of my car.

He shrugs his shoulders.

I call Nissan Consumer affairs within an hour. They cannot believe what I tell them. They say they have a regional manager in Orlando. They say he will call Reed Nissan.

I get a call from Reed Nissan within two hours. Car is ready two days later (the part took two days to arrive).

I eviscerated Reed Nissan on the survey Nissan sent me.

I will never buy from Reed again.
