and yes "warbird" this is what you have to look forward to when people who have had the cars for a couple of years and this board has over 1 million posts, and there are probably already about 30 threads about the amazingness of SRM. and you start a new one claiming this amazing new thing you have just discovered that every person who has it, every automotive writer, even Jeremy Clarkson has said its pretty cool.

errrr.....ummm....it that was directed at me I was not upset about anything. Thought it was kinda funny actually. I am a new Nismo owner as you have stated so things that others have experienced and I am just now seeing only being 8 days into this. I didnt know that after the first person posts an attribute on the car that is now forbidden to speak on it again though.

I drive like the stig anyway, so the SRM is overvalued

You guys amuse me...

I was not a fan of the syncro rev when I first bought the car. Matter of fact, I turned it off my first time at the track. After a few sessions, I decided to turn it on and I noticed a .5 sec drop in lap time as I was able to get much nicer downshifts. It's not so much I don't blip the throttle myself, the syncro rev just makes it perfect each time

I've had a non sport 370 and now have the sport and I can tell you that sync rev is the $hit. Anyone who says the transmission without it is better hasn't driven with it on a regular basis. I was skeptical too before I had it.

The word "hella" was banned in early 2004. Turn in your key fob and go stand in the corner.
By the way, I used the SRM a few times to see what it was all about but most of the time it is off. Muscle memory from driving a stick shift for over 40 years is hard to overcome and I have to concentrate on not blipping the throttle, double clutching and heel & toeing when it's on. For daily driving it's unnecessary and annoying unless you are a boy racer.

Anyways, I'll just say I'm loving it. When I'm in 3rd and coming to a stop, hitting the clutch and then I can just shift to 2nd from whatever speed, that blip is a nice aggressive sounding downshift....i think it will be even meaner when I have my F.I. CBE
