I noticed that you guys have different year models. Is it possible that Nissan made a minor change after the 09 model came out? Is there any correlation to year model and percentage of people with oil temp issues?

People have tried to link model year to oil temperatures with no success, it is strange how people can experience completely different oil temperatures in the same environment, driving and weather conditions though as has been found to happen.

The problem is that the conditions AREN'T the same. People describe a few discrete factors but can't truly quantify how long they stay at an RPM, where they shift, what the humidity is, if they're driving uphill, etc etc. The cars don't vary enough for oil temperatures to be dramatically different from car to car. The drivers do.

Agreed. For casual driving, I generally shift between 3-3.5k and throw it into 6th to cruise when the speed limit is 45mph+. I'm sure most people leave it in 5th when driving in the city, so that's probably one reason my temp stays lower.
