Should I get the oil cooler installed when I buy it? The Z will be m daily driver. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

You don't need an oil cooler unless you are planning on tracking it, or running it really hard on the street.

Ah, I see. I mean I plan on driving spirited from time to time for sure.

drive it for a bit and see if you have any problems or are uncomfortable with the oil temps. In Atlanta when its 90 degrees out, I would hit 260 oil temp in stop and go traffic without one.

Only if the failure is related to the oil cooler.

OP-- Most everyone one this board has run their Z a bit in the twisties, and I don't think you'll need the cooler on the street.

I drive my Z in normal use and the oil cooler issue is not a part of my world. I don't think you'd need it unless you take your car to the racetrack. I put my money in a rich new custom leather interior.
