bought 2011 nismo on impulse, wants to exchange

So I bought a red 2011 nismo, Does anyone have an idea on how i can get most of my money back to get a 370z white base model automatic?

Jordo! 03-15-2011 12:24 AM

You could see if someone wants to trade with you...

Waiz 03-15-2011 12:35 AM

Ouch, that sucks dude!

You might take a small loss on it but you can certainly sell it and get the one you want.

wow, i wish i could afford to buy a car on impulse!

Cyberium 03-15-2011 12:40 AM

I bet you could just exchange it at a dealer for the car you want. A base 370Z AT is way less expensive. It would be a even trade.

Highway 03-15-2011 06:41 AM

Why do you want to trade it in already?

m4a1mustang 03-15-2011 06:43 AM

How long has it been since you bought it? You could possibly work some sort of exchange out with your dealer if you haven't put too many miles on it, otherwise you'll need to find someone to trade with -- or just trade the car in on one you want, but be prepared to take a big depreciation hit of at least a few thousand bucks.

I traded in a two month old 2010 Roadster w/1K miles back in Aug. The difference was
6K.

Nissan picked up the difference. (lemon)

I am willing to put you out of your misery with an even up trade.
I have: '09, 13k miles, sport package-base, AT, dark silver.

:p

I'm joking.... ... maybe not if you really would.

you can't - you will take a hit of several $1,000 as your car is now titled and considered used. That's your lesson learned for buying a car on impulse with out any research.

cheshirecat 03-15-2011 09:54 AM

Check the auto purchasing laws in your state. Depending on how long it has been, you may be able to return the car to the dealer, contract or not.

shadoquad 03-15-2011 09:54 AM

If it's only been a day or so, maybe you can return it?

Usually for people that buy nismos and want to get rid of it right away, is usually because of the spacers. They think the ride is way too rough but when the spacers come off... it is so much better.
