Crackling / popcorn sound when I park.

I have 2007 dodge charger rt with the same problem I turn the car off and hear popcorn like sound from the left rear end of the car and feels

I had the boiling sound before and it was the car exhaust(hole in the rear end pipe water coming out) . My girlfriend has 350z and its a really nice car. The popcorn noise you describe only at stop signs, after the car shut off & low speeds 4 mph or less ?
