I meant to compliment the look of this boxster. Nice!

I have emailed the admin to create a sub-forum called '370z GT' to be created on 'Other 370z models' forum.

Someone please make sure Nissan sees this thread. These kind of stupid trendy upgrades do nothing for a car of this caliber. What this car needs is some, better mpg ratings, FI intervention and further weight reduction down as close to 3000 lbs as possible. Anything else is unnecessary or gimmicky.

They could remove that rear wiper...that would reduce some weight!

Decals give any car about 10 more WHP. Everyone knows that!

Nissan is probably just trying to increase sales in europe, not that this will really do anything for them. I would like to see what sort of improvements they made to the road noise issue.

IMO want to make it unique (any car at that) find a local pin-striper and have them do some custom work. My 350 had a "tramp stamp" of some real One Shot paint slapped on it...gave it a little something to stand out from others. looked good.
Also, my Z got around, so the tramp stamp was necessary

Now you know how we RX-8 people feel about the garbage Mazda has done under the guise of "improvements" for our car over the last 5 years. Just looking for justification to charge more, just as Nissan seems to be doing with this. I'm sure if you wanted a racing stripe bad enough you could get one done for your Z for much less than the premium Nissan will be asking for.

Another marketing exercise in "brand extension".

When is te real NISMO Spec-C version coming (3.8 litre engine with 405hp), 6-sp seq shift box and factory lightweight parts (lose the electric seats in favour of CF seat shells, lose the entertainment system and AC, special bodyprep with no sound-deadener, CF bonnet, rear hatch and doors, NISMO 4-way adjustable dampers with factory-fitted FIA cage.

400+ hp and 1200kg - that would be a "proper" GT.

SUbaru did it with the STi Spec-C series from 1998 onwards, you can buy (in Oz at least) Ralliart-spec EVO 9 and 10, and Porsche do it with the 911 GT3-series - why can;t Nissan get it right.

Calling this a GT is a wank - pure marketing hype.

The 2011 Nissan 370Z GT, will sit on the dealers lot for a long time, "if it sells at all"!
It's a joke! It's one sorry joke!
Who is Nissan trying to fool? What are they thinking?

GT originally stood for Grand Touring and it still applies, the FIA's misuse of the term not withstanding.

A lightweight stripped down model is more like the Honda S2000 CR (Club Racer), not a street car.

Considering the other aspects of the 370Z that make it less suitable as a track vehicle, I think making it a better long distance driver isn't a bad idea.
