Bye bye Inky :(

Well, time has come for me to let my Z go (yes it's only been 5 months of ownership.) Going thru a divorce is very difficult and I won't be able to have a $600+ car payment with affording an apartment on my own( yes..just bought a new house 8 months ago) I can't say when exactly I must let Inky go, but it will most likely be within 3 months or so unless I can get $40,000 out of the azzhole husband to pay off my loan. Either which way I will still be in the Z community and will either have a 350z or maybe a 4WD car( any suggestions?!) And no smart azz comments please...this is not a good time thanks

Ron 02-28-2011 03:35 AM

Evos are 4wd:driving:. Sorry to hear about the divorce and the Z. Wish u the best!!

Jordo! 02-28-2011 03:54 AM

I'm very sorry :(

bleufiend 02-28-2011 05:38 AM

That bites. Best of luck.

3SeventyZ 02-28-2011 06:20 AM

Sorry to hear that. Hope everything works out.

SophiaZ 02-28-2011 06:24 AM

Thanks guys..yea I hope it works out ok...just wanna keep the Z and dogs ahaha yea I'm pretty simple. If not..time for Z part out sale :(

Zaggeron 02-28-2011 07:22 AM

Sorry to hear this. Good luck with your situation.

Mike 02-28-2011 07:49 AM

sorry

spearfish25 02-28-2011 07:56 AM

Sounds like it's time for some nights out with a short skirt and high heels to find a sugar daddy.

Sorry about your situation.

DrEvil 02-28-2011 08:06 AM

Sorry to hear that. Get a great lawyer and make the soon to be ex pay for the Z.
That's the least he can do.Love the color and the fangs. (could that be a metaphor?)

TypeOne 02-28-2011 08:15 AM

Get something that is realistic to your income and lifestyle. If you can't afford the Z with your divorce, trade it in on something that won't cost as much. Maybe a 4Runner or Xterra...?

Best of luck.

ProfessorDave 02-28-2011 08:34 AM

A WRX might keep you smiling when you drive. You could stay 2 seater and get an MX-5 Miata. As you know, the doors are spectacular!

Hang in there!

GZ3 02-28-2011 08:55 AM

sux, good luck...why not look into a used evo, sti, wrx, mazdaspeed, ../!?

Endgame 02-28-2011 09:20 AM

Wow. So sorry to hear that. There is the Evo, WRX (STI), and Nissan Juke you could look at. The Mazdaspeed 6's are cool; Audi A4's are cool....

Best wishes in this tough situation...

shadoquad 02-28-2011 09:20 AM

Sorry to hear this Sophia. I hope everything works out for ya. :o

elmz 02-28-2011 09:35 AM

That sucks, good luck, I hope its a short and smooth battle. In the meantime, you should enjoy the Z while you still have it. Find some nice twisty roads, or barren roads, and drive it like you stole it!

SPOHN 02-28-2011 09:39 AM

+1 for the short and smooth battle. As all should be. Sorry for the losses. Life gets better.

Now go bang someone else.

ChrisSlicks 02-28-2011 10:04 AM

Sorry about your situation. If you need to downsize the hefty car payment I would probably step down to a older Subaru WRX (non STi). They can be found fairly cheap with reasonable miles, is a good 4 season vehicle and has room for your dogs. It is still a fun car to throw around, is easy to resell and has plenty of upgrade potential.

Mt Tam I am 02-28-2011 10:04 AM

You mentioned a short while ago this divorce might be in your future. Now it's here. $600/month is too much so what do you think is affordable so we can better help with car suggestions.

mark_taba85 02-28-2011 10:15 AM

that blows.

i'd dread going through what you are going through.

Good luck with everything.

There are a lot of guys here. Maybe you could get with one of them since they have a Z! ^^

onzedge 02-28-2011 10:22 AM

Sorry for your troubles -- I have been there and have compassion for what you are going through.

Someone told me once that love is just grand, but divorce is a hundred grand (I know that's what my last one cost and then some).

Hang in there -- it gets better over time.

spearfish25 02-28-2011 10:27 AM

^but freedom is priceless :)

semtex 02-28-2011 10:30 AM

I feel your pain. I got laid off last year, then my wife divorced me. Lost my Z along with my house. Still getting back up on my feet. Thinking about getting the new STi now that I've landed a good job. Anyway, keep your chin up. You're not alone in this experience.

StLRedrider 02-28-2011 10:33 AM

sorry to hear this. good luck and i hope everything works out for you!

phelan 02-28-2011 10:46 AM

sorry to hear...but keep your head up!

how much are you looking to spend per month for the car? like tam i am said we might be able to give some options for you - or u can just go 350 and be done with it :)

SPOHN 02-28-2011 12:15 PM

Can you get a smaller apartment? That might help.

I'm betting you got the dogs and the Z after you got married .. a woman with dogs and a Z don't need no man! :roflpuke2:

I wouldn't wish what you are going through on anyone - I've had quite a few friends go through it recently and it's never pretty. Hang in there and rely on your good friends!

I'd vote for a well cared for, used Z as a replacement. :)

StLRedrider 02-28-2011 12:19 PM

? i thought than women usually walks away from a divorce in a lot better shape than a man would:stirthepot:

EazyD 02-28-2011 12:30 PM

Sorry to hear about your divorce - but trading in your Z for peace of mind is the only great reason I can think of to get rid of it :) The bright side is you get to also get rid of any memories of 'him' in that car also

frost 02-28-2011 12:41 PM

I think more people go through this kind of stuff than care to admit. Freedom from a bad relationship is sooooo much better than having a Z and being in a shitty relationship imho.

Having been in more than a few bad relationships, I can testify that what Mr. Frost says is true. It is impossible to put a price on the utter sense of freedom one gets from finally getting out of the daily brain damage a crappy relationship delivers.

EL Diablo 02-28-2011 12:50 PM

RIP Inky...

cars come and go.

Best Wishes.

I agree with both of you. Daily misery + material possessions does not make for happiness.

Things happen for a reason.

TonyBPD 02-28-2011 12:53 PM

Hope everything works out in the end.
