I take it you've already received your invitation for the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance!

I won't even bother with the rest. I'll just let you get back to enjoying your exclusive automobile! I don't make enough money to spend $30k on such an exclusive car... I can only dream.

Isn't #0000A0 Dark Blue? If not, then I need to change the 5.0 exterior color I just built online.

Additionally, the $40/month savings would be tremendous. You could now afford to send your kids to college.
I may just do that, thank you.

And also, saving $40 a month may not seem like much for an even swap. but saving $40 and also getting a car that outperforms the 370 in almost every performance metric is a pretty big deal.

I've driven the 5.0... Awesome car that is a totally different ride than the Z.
I like them both for different reasons.
It's the Sports car/Muscle car difference you would expect.

I'd take both cars if I could. Hell I might even be conspiring to do so.

but if you can have only one car then the practicality of the cars would come into play
for me. That's why I have a Z.

I don't need no stinking back seats.

But I would like more than 400 HP.

Good luck!
How is a 370Z more practical than a '11 Mustang GT Premium?

Based on USAA purchase price, a 2011 370Z 6MT Coupe Touring + Sport would cost me about $4000 more than a 2011 Mustang GT Premium (Brembo, HID, 3.73, and Security).

This is a no brainer for me.

Based on the workmanship, I think the 370Z might last a little longer than the Mustang. I know the V8 is another beast but I once had an 02 Mustang V6 for just two years with lots of issues, highway acceleration, transmission shitfing problem, and rattling noices from the cockpit. the back seats are useless anyway since they on fit little people. As soon as we had our first baby, we had to trade it in for a Honda Accord.

I'm hearing alot about people crediting the mustang as a four seat car, yeah it has four seats but only two of them are really usable. When I checked out the mustang I was less then impressed with the back seat. At 6'5'' with the seat back, there was literally 1 1/2'' of leg room, even someone at 5'10'' would be pretty hard pressed to make any usable room behind the seat. Whats the point of having a back seat if you can't use it, its really more of a oversized shelf. I was also less then impressed with the unpainted side skirts, rear valence, and bubble on the trunk lid. Even the GT500 that I looked at had unpainted trim. Seems more like something you'd see on an econobox honda civic, but then again the new civic's all come with painted side skirts. I liked the speed and the handling the mustang offered but the Z had a much more sports carish interior IMHO. I like the strides that Ford has made in recent years with the mustang and their 5.0L engine, but the car as a whole left me desiring more.

Im 5'9" and I thought the backseats were pretty comfortable. It was a little difficult getting in, but other than that, I felt there was enough room. I agree about the unpainted trims. Moreover, The z has a "sports carish interior" but it the mustang has a more sports carish motor.

Based on my experience the new Mustangs are built just as well as, if not better than, the 370s. It's a very solid car.

It's funny you mention your '02 V6. We actually have one in the driveway (my sister's old car) with 160k miles. It's an automatic and hasn't had any mechanical issues. Just routine maintenance. Mechanically it is very sound.

But, you can't even begin to compare that car to the current Mustang (or really anything Ford is currently offering). The quality difference is night and day.

I don't keep cars long enough for them to have problems. I'm automotively unfaithful!

I agree. Also, the current crop coming out of Ford is way beyond the caliber of stuff from the beginning of the decade. No only are the products better overall, but the reliability seems MUCH better than it has been in the past.

Yep. Which is why they are winning all the awards and leading in sales. It definitely isn't the Ford of the 90s or early 2000s anymore. Alan Mulally came in and shaped things up.
