Z's are few and far between and handle very well. 5.0's are everwhere and as you said a straight axle. Last year there was a Mustang at the cruise that the owner stated was a $100,000 special edition. I didn't see anything special and my car got more attention than his. This was prior to any mods being done. Ultimately it is your choice but for me it would be a no brainer.

100k special edition?:ugh2:

As the saying goes, "to each their own."

FWIW I know of no $100k "Special Edition" Mustangs out there. The owner must have been yanking your chain.

Sure there is. GT500KR

If it had Miata doors, $100k would be a bargain. The doors alone are worth millions.

I think Mustang's are fine cars, but I read somewhere that they'll give your children cancer. Just food for thought.

Their owners also have a habit of sexually abusing people with the initials A.S.

All Hail The Almighty Miata Doors, the only forum meme to be constantly referenced whenever possible.

Well, that's just one initial away from fun.

Hey kid, will you help my find my lost puppy?

M4 I guess it was something from Roush but he never had his hood open and I couldn't see any special brakes on it. No stripes either. But I didn't look real close had to keep the kids from dropping thier ice cream in my car as thier mothers chased the escapees. LOL Love cruise nights.

A good buddy of mine moved from a 350z to the 2011 GT500. He loves it- he wanted more power and didn't want the headaches of going FI with the VQ engine. For him it worked out perfectly.

It's a very cost-effective way to get 500+hp reliably (and with a factory warranty).

I'm personally not too crazy about the Shelby kit looks wise but it is very quick.

For me, I think it's a better idea to just grab a sportbike if you need that kind of speed fix... if you aren't tracking the car.

Pretty impressive to have a meme that beats out FF quotes on a car forum, jus sayin

Very resilient meme. Almost as resilient as the doors themselves.

With so many Mustang tuners (Shelby, Saleen, Roush, etc.) I don't see how you could ever stop modding one, although it gives you plenty of options.

If I could afford to do that I would in a heartbeat.
I test drove a 5.0 and man does it haul ***!
The salesman let me do many things others wouldn't have let me done.
12 second stock and 4 seater + trunk.
That's something to think about and I find it impressive they did a comparison with the m3 and the stang held it's ground pretty well against the much more expensive m3.
With boltons + tune you'd be ripping up most cars.
And of course you have to upgrade the suspension.
