I am not here to start trouble, I really want to know why Nissan does a substantial redesign on limited GT-R but they don't update the 370? (I've heard the promises, but I don't want to buy a 2011 only to find out they will due a mid term refresh in 2012.)

as ppl said.. its been out for only 3 years( 3MY) so i guess is not going to get updated until like MY2013(release at end of 2012)
GTR, for Nissan its not about making alot of money with that model, its about showing what Nissan can do. And as you can see every year the price jumped about 4~5k. So if you are willing to pay 45k 370z base model, you can send request to nissan.

Nissan doesn't have to redesign. You can buy a kit and do it yourself. Then you'll really be different and in a class of you own.

What Chevy V6 is cranking out over 332hp currently?

Also, EVERY car has its recurring issues. There is no perfect option.

You're right. The Chevy Camaro only has 312hp. But it does start around 23K to be fair.

I have Ghosn's phone number to his direct line somewhere here...you can call him.

I would like to lease and keep the car OEM.

Just hold your breath until Nissan releases a Huarya version of the Z. Keep holding it. Don't breathe.

A similar question could be asked regarding Nissan and Honda. What 4 cylinder does Nissan have that makes 237 horsepower?
Who cares?

That and the Ford 5.0 (equally impressive) is what the 370Z is being measured against. Not some domestic V6, although the V6 mustang does have similar performance regarding acceleration and was within a fraction of a second around VIR of the 370Z, 114mph governor that it bounced off of for 15 seconds in the straights not withstanding.

The 370Z is in need of a refresh. Not in looks, but performance. Looks are stellar. VQ series is getting old.

Excuse me, IC, but I was questioning the comment that "Chevy can make a more powerful V6 for less cost." The Camaro V8 is also quite heavier, not "comparable weight".

But there's a simple solution to all of this. If overbearing lights and outdated fangs are just too tacky, buy another car. Or if the car needs a performance refresh, just do like the convert here and look at Corvettes.

The tacky led gas gauge - who likes this?
The door handles from a 60's fridge - really? That's the best they can do?

All the talk of a hybrid that never happened.
Talk of a bigger engine? never happened.

All Nissan seems to add is an cabin filter and some new colors.

I like the car! But it's really showing it's age.

When is a new refreshed car due?

*** Hopefully, they will add some sound proofing too. ***

I was responding to a direct comment. I don't go out making wild bs claims.

Nissan currently produces the same number of 237 hp 4 cylinders that Honda currently produces.

Thanks, I wasn't even trying. I just get frustrated reading threads about these same issues that never get fixed. I would like a 370, but I expect Nissan to listen to the consumer.

I admit my post was designed to invoke a reaction but I expected people to want the same items fixed! Not attack someone for calling out Nissan on not fixing the reoccurring items listed on this forum.

I guess I should post like others asking how I can make a 370 run with a Ferrari or a Porsche? (Those are the troll posts in my opinion, but people here really think a 30K car should run with a car costing 100-300K.)

But if you think I am a troll...please show me one prior post that says one of these items:
1) A liking of the door handles and a wish to keep them the same.
2) A post that says the car is quiet inside and very livable.
3) How about a post that says keep the front grill.

As for the headlights I think that is split.
