I wasn't a fan of the 350 Z but I liked the history/prestige of the car/community. Then when I saw pics of the 370, I fell in love with it. Saw one in person, and hit rock bottom. Had to have one. As far as other cars go:
Reasons Against Purchase: Mustang: American, there are as many of them on the streets here as people on a Chinese streetcorner waiting for a signal to change. Boring interior. Some exterior dislikes. Corvette: American, expensive, 'status' car. Any Dodge: Dodge, FUgly. :gtfo: Subie: Was my original purchase goal until I saw the 370. But I'm not a fan of the newer body styles... I want one 03-06. Mazda: Radial engine is just way too complicated to have as much fun with.

2010 370z roadster, touring, white with gray interior, 1650 miles on car. price is 36000.00.
or 2009 vette LT2, has heated seats not cooled (z has heated and cooled) insurance is cheaper on vette (which surprised me) vette has v8. cost of vette 42000.00 i just think the z car is better deal and better for everything, more fun to drive. even though the vette will fly, in fact when i punched it, it scared me. what do you all think of the white z and the gray interior? |

I was looking at Mustang GT's and BMW 335i's/135i's.
I always wanted to get a Mustang GT growing up, but I knew they were coming out with the 2011's soon and I didn't want to be the slow mustang on the block. I didn't really want to put in the effort to supercharge it to bump the power up into the 400+hp range. Also, they are a dime a dozen. The BMWs are really nice, but the maintenance is ridiculous and I was looking for something a little more true to a sports car vs a performance luxury. The Z was affordable, a true two seater sports car, more rare than the other two, and I love the styling. I have to say that I have been very satisfied with my decision!

come on now some are not being fair.when the c5 vette came out in 97
it had a total make over.GM didn't use any parts from the 96... and most will admit the c5 still turns heads even today after the c6 is out... the only reason i rambled about that is i feel the 350 and the 370 share the traits. i lived thru the 70"s and to call the mustang, camaro, charger of today muscle cars is just wrong imo. back then they were compact cars with big block v8 stuck in them.. there were roadrunners and gto's and other's that would blow their doors off.. |

I love my '76. It's loud, the tranny whines, the ride is somewhat harsh and the seating is not comfortable for long hauls. However, parts are readily available and not that expensive and I can tune it with a screwdriver, wrench and my hearing/touching. And, it gets as many looks as my Z roadster. ![]()
