Semtex asks some good questions. Ive used spacers on many of my cars, and for safety you must follow the guidelines.

Make sure they are hub centric.

Make sure lugs are long enough.

Make sure they are reputable brand.

Your installer should be aware of these issues. I had mine done by my tire shop who works on AMG, Bentley, Aston etc. So i knew i was in good hands. Just make sure you do the same to avoid any incident.
