I think we've been a little harsh on this guy. VCD off isn't necessarily to blame. It's not like he was doing power laps. Lesson learned and it could have been far worst.

I'm so sick of all the "VDC" bs. I ran one of my fastest laps IN THE RAIN at Auto Club Speedway with... that's right... the dreaded driver nanny VDC off.

Shocking that I'm still in one piece I'm sure.

well said Killer. I agree with you. There was a time when cars did not have VDC at all. OMG.. People just need to learn to drive and stop havuing the car do it for them.


That said I love my inteligen cruse control and lane departure feture in the FX50. I just set it fall asleep and arrive well rested.

If the kid was like 18 and did this then maybe age might have been a bigger factor, but to the difference between 27 and 30 isnt much. A simple good luck on the repairs was all that was needed.
