Default HELP: Warning Signs as i rev above 4-5k....

Hi everyone,

Ive got this problem which has been bugging me for the past few weeks and i hope members of the forum can help me out to solve it.

As i rev above 4-5k the emergency brake indication would lit up and disappear as i released the acc paddle. At aggressive revs the "tire slip" and "vdc off" would lit up and will only disappear after an engine restart. Im not sure what to check, maybe reseting the ECU would solve the problem, no?

You might want to check your owner's manual or see if you have some warnings set in the ECU.

If you can't find anything then, you may want to pop it by the dealership and see what they can find.

no problem I had the problem myself.

your brake fluid is too low and when you accelerate it splashes about and the sensor freaks out because of it.

just top of your brake fluid and it will be fixed.

Brake fluid level is the winning answer.

Same thing happens on my Z32 when brake fluid is low, except for the vdc and tire slip warning bc they didn't care about that back in '93 lol. Hopefully that is whats happening to u too.

Problem solved on the handbrake indication... you were all right, it was because of low brake fluids... but for the "vdc off" & tire "slip indication" will just have to wait for the dealer... they said two codes came out of their system when they diagnose my Z, 1 was for the brake fluids being low and the second had to do something with the ABS.... hopefully nothing serious....

Is that still happening? I think the VDC potentially shuts down until a restart if it detects low brake fluid. I think I remember that happening to me and pretty sure it happened to Vegitto as well.

Cause and effect. One thing caused it and it effects another. I guess it's all in good faith.
