Thanks a lot everyone for the kind words. I must admit that I wasn't going to advertise the fact that I crashed out of sheer embarassement.
I think you're absolutely right ChrisSlicks, I should have braked when I saw the water but instead I released the gas pedal thinking it would be enough and I'd just go straight on. |

I guess you had the Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires. I have those for the fourth season on my Audi A5 and I can confirm that +5°C is way too low temperature to drive them safely. As good as they are in warm weather, there is something like +8°C barrier, when colder lost of traction will occur easily.
I know my new 40th is coming with RE050As in a few days and I've promised myself not to take it out until temperatures will be +15°C. Anyway, Audi also deliver cars with summer RE050A set, so stay alert. |
