Maybe from the outside, but they are a real pleasure to drive.

Even with over 200k on the clock, my 540i rode better than my Z ever will. That thing could hold it's own in the twisties too, despite being nearly 2 tons and old as hell.

Bimmers are very, very fun to drive. My old man has a Z4, and its clutch is like melted butter smooth. He hates the clutch in my Z! :roflpuke2:

The Z clutch is awful.

It's not bad imo. Or maybe I'm just used to it. Or maybe I just don't notice as I'm grinning from ear to ear, listening to the VQ hum its tune as I nose into the next apex. :icon17:

I think it might just be the drugs:rofl2:

Holliday,

Congrats on the new cars. I'm glad you and your wife are happy with the decision. I bet you'll miss the Z once in a while, but BMW's are really great cars.

Sometimes priorities change, and there's nothing wrong with that. Having a hot performance coupe vs. having a fun and practical 4-seater that both you and the wife can drive.

(of course, I'd have tried to talk her into learning manual, but that's just me ;) )

Thanks bro!

I know she could learn how to drive that 328i manual I drove. It was so smooth and effortless. I was shocked!

Isn't your Z just about a year old? Did you not know what you were buying when buying the Z?
You must have lots of money to be able to afford decisions like that.

Umm, just going out on a limb here, but I think you would expect a luxury car to ride better than a sports car, wouldn't you?
It seems there are some people on this forum who really do not know what they have bought or are buying.

Congrats Holliday, e90s are great cars, i drove my ex's 328 all the time

Seems an odd choice to get rid of the Z for two mid-level Bimmers but glad you're happy. My friend has an white '09 335i coupe with M Sport package, premium package riding on a KW V3 suspension and 19" CSL knock-off wheels. It's a really sweet car.

Pictures don't really do the car justice. I keep telling him that it needs an M3 rear decklid spoiler.

Congrats!

Congratulations Holliday! Are you planning on doing any mods to the bimmers?

Anyway, congrats! Both very nice cars.
