Wait until the kid gets old enough to drive and then wrecks it! An acquaintance of mine's son smashed up his car coming around a curve. Father got it fixed and kid proceeded to smash it up again RIGHT IN THE VERY SAME CURVE!!

Another time I was parked at a light and heard a screeching of brakes. The car behind me was hit by the car behind him.. I was untouched but the poor bastard behind me took it in the rear.. He got out of his car and looked at the damage and put his hands to his head and said OH NO!! In the window of his car ..a brand new Lexus.. was the sticker information!!.. he was just bringing it home!

damn that is insane. yea if you buy a used sports car for cheap, like 10+ years old, you probably end up paying for the value of the car every 3 years in premiums.

Between the over the top kidders and the people who are taking all this way too seriously ... this thread delivers serious entertainment value.

Ah, no, I refuse to be labled there. I said that black women in America are statistically more likely to have an STD based on every study I am familar with.

I know dude, it was a joke. I'm actually familiar w/the stats you were referring to, and blacks do have a far higher probability of carrying an std than any other population.

Remember, children are like farts, you don't mind your own, but everyone else's are horrible. Just because you don't like everyone else's kids, doesn't mean you would not love to be a parent yourself, but it's a very bold step to take, it's the biggest decision and commitment you will ever make in your life.

Once you have a family, it is very hard to strike a balance between being an individual, and your role as parent and spouse. There is often not enough resources of time, energy, and money for both, and the family has to come first. When both spouses make an effort to put the other's critical needs ahead of their own secondary needs, it works. Many families today are having kids in their 30's which is a major help, you have 10 years to save money, raise your income, and enjoy some independance before the family.

I am 40, 3 kids, career up the arse, besides an hour of exercise a day, I get about 1 hour a day to "myself" to read at the most, otherwise I spend all my time on work, kid's stuff or with the wife - which can also be relaxing and fun. Frankly, I'd be bored off my arse if I didn't have a family. Bored with taking vacations, going skiing, riding the motorcycle, bored with watching too much tv, bored with riding my bike, etc.

Financially, I count myself lucky to have a solid retirement saving started, college savings, a pension, and can still afford a Z after buying the family SUV, vacations, private school, etc. The best way to a happy life is an outstanding education, put in 20 years of ball busting hard work, get married, have kids, and stay married. It aint easy, but that's the way to have it all.

With no SO and no kids and just a career, I really enjoy my life so much more than my married co-workers I think. All they do is whine about things they have to do or cannot do because of their familes.

We have 1 kid, and trying for another. I have my Z, and a daily driver civic along with our Odyssey. No need to get rid of the sports car. True, I may only drive it at nights or on weekends, but so what... I need the ability to unwind and enjoy some things on my own. To the OP, keep the Z.

It's not his kid he needs it for, it's his woman. She's gone into that nutty "nesting" mode they get into. Seen it plenty.
