it's very sad seeing middle aged folks that are completely clueless on how to talk to a child or handle them. :ugh2: extremely sad watching some of my wife's lady friends in their 40's without kids that have no frikken idea what to do when a baby cries. :icon14: to me it's like wtf you dont know??!!

History would disagree with you. Most human cultures generally expect the female to nurture the children, not the male. Most species, actually.

Not to mention that if I didn't have a kid, and don't plan on ever having one...why would I care how to deal with one?

Um...no.

Q. What do you do when a baby cries?
A. Tell its parents to shut it up or leave the movies/wherever.

Q. What is there to feel sorry about with a 40y/o woman with no kids?
A. She can't empathize with you when you whine about your kid waking you up at 0200.

Q. How do you talk to a child/handle them?
A. Why would this matter? You don't talk to them. What, do you drive a van with "Free Candy" spray-painted on the side or something?

No, I think you're right. Abortion caused a drop in crime roughly 14 years after it was legalized. Unwanted children are usually the ones committing more crimes. If I had a kid, it would be unwanted. Not that I wouldn't do the right thing and adopt it out or sell it in Mexico so it wasn't America's problem, but what I'm saying is that I agree with you. Unwanted kids are problem kids more often than not.

yep, but we're talking about a couple that's wanting kids and wat to do about welcoming the newborn without altering dad's lifestyle dramatically.

i haven't changed much before and after my kids were born, hobbywise. im actually spending more money on my hobby overall while keeping a good balance. like in a long relationship with your significant other, the solution is not to keep desires inside and just do wat you want when you can with a budget in mind... and get as much rest whenever you can.

No, we are talking about a guy whose SO sprung this on him, from what I understand. Should have worn that condom/done something different from the sound of it.

Just a sample, since you like math...

1/4 women have HSVII, statistically.
90% are unaware.
Condoms reduce HSV transmission by around 60%.

So, when you wear a condom, you are reducing the risk of contracting just ONE disease by around 15%.

I'll wrap it for 15%.

Of the people I have spoken to who contracted HSVII, NONE of them wore condoms regularly.

To that I would say "choose better women". I generally try to limit myself to women who haven't slept around a lot (which generally means women who don't have low self-esteem), thus the chances of them having any kind of STD is statistically much lower.

I would wrap it for a one-nighter, but in a relationship, wrapping is out of the question. Besides, it just feels better to ride free!
