Not sure if it has to do with the airbag but most newer cars have an enertia based switch that will shut the fuel pump off.
There is no way anyone on here can tell you of it's totaled. My advice, don't stress about it. Nothing you can do about it now. Most of the time you'll know something in about a week. That may take a bit more with the holidays. Glad you are ok.
