Infiniti must have given you a "special car" (most likely you're simply mistaken) because on my G sedan and every other Infiniti that I've had experience with has the same setup as the 370Z. Press once for driver and twice for all the doors. I'm not aware of being able to change this function either but perhaps someone will prove me wrong.

wutang guy, under settings comfort and conv... was an 08 g37. Your G sedan was a g35.

Thank you Chubbs and Socal. Appreciate it. I'm sorry if I offended anyone. I'm very excited about my new Z and am just trying to make it an easy transition from my g37 and like to have the same settings. Might seem silly to some that I don't want to press the button 2x when I'm use to pressing it once but I know its possible! I realize you all were trying to help.

Look in the manual, section "4-15", under Comfort & Convenience,
"Selective Door Unlock":
when this is "ON" only the driver's door is unlocked first, and another push of the button within 60 sec, the passenger door is unlocked.
when this is "OFF", all the doors will be unlocked after the door unlock operation is performed once.

Hey Mus guy my 2008 Fully loaded G sedan is a G35 not was (I still own it and will keep it even after I get the 370Z). Thanks for letting me know how to change it but it's not something I'd ever want to do. The 370Z employs the same navigation and associated interfaces used by Infiniti vehicles so if you can change it you'd do it the same way. Too bad you didn't get the Nav with your Z like you had on your G37. Sounds like a downgrade to me...

You can change this through the Nav..at least on the new Infiniti's. I just bought my wife an EX35 and she can change the way the lock requests work and how long the auto lights stay on after power off. It's all in the "settings" tab, but the car has to be in park to access the additional menus. The EX35 Nav is identical to the 370Z (with the exception of the back lighting). I looked high and low to try to adjust this on my Z. The Dealer told me it could be done, but he was probably blowing smoke.

Here it is (for vehicles with Nav - as mentioned in post #12)...

Unfortunately nobody has yet posted a DIY solution for owners without Nav - except to go to the dealer and get him to do it through his Consult111 system - surely it's a 10 minute job that they should do for free?

Edit - On the 350Z you just hold down both the 'lock' and 'unlock' plipper buttons together, for more than 5 seconds, to toggle between the two modes. Why can't it be that simple on the 370Z? Probably a dumb question, but has anyone tried it?

What is a 'plipper'? I'm not familiar with that term. Are you referring to the key fob?
