Default NEED QUICK RESPONSE! Kics Oil Drain Plug washer...

Can i use the nylon washer that comes with the Kics oil drain plug or do i NEED to use the copper Nissan crush washer?

Thanks!

PS. Reason for the sense of urgency... i just installed a brand new exhaust and decided to change oil while car was up on jack stands... i dont want to wait for gf to get home with Nissan crush washer so if the Nylon washer is safe to use and won't leak... i want to get this done so i can hear the exhaust!

I don't see an issue using either.

As long as the washer is large enough to stop the leaks and preventing the bolt from backing out.

Cooper is recommended for a true seal. I would never use a plastic seal. It's not that expensive, and well worth the piece of mind.

I used a used copper washer from a brake caliper. No leaks. Nylon or neoprene will also provide a positive seal.
