Seniors

Interesting comments. If you are lucky, you all might get to be seniors some day. My wife and I are 70 and 71, respectively. I drive an 2006 Acura TL and she drives a 1998 Acura Integra. She just bought a new 370Z and people are lining up to get the Integra because it's spotless.

The people I fear, especially when I am out on my bike, are the 'little old ladies' (and men) in minivans and suvs. Some of them are actually much younger than us but totally inconsiderate. The same thing happens on the water; we are out on our ski boat and some people on pontoons have no common sense about the rules of boating.

It's a bad idea to generalize - age is not necessarily an indicator of good judgment.

FML.

On a different note, anyone interested in buying a slightly used 2010 370Z 40th Anniversary Edition (build #10 out of 1000)? It has about 8500 miles and was meticulously kept clean until this happened:icon18: Everything is stock except 35% tinted windows and BERK CBE. I am planning on swapping the exhaust back to stock. I will not know the damage to the car until my insurance people and mechanic look at it. The structural frame didn't look like it was damaged especially since I was only going about 10 mph. I just don't want to deal with issues that might arise later on in its life. I'll post this in the For Sale section later on once I get a better assessment of the damage to my car.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHH!!!!!!! FuKK!@!!@#!@%!#$%!#$!%#$%@#$!

:shakes head: OMFG!!! Sorry bro... I lost my "G" about a month ago to some ******* transvestite who didn't even speak english or had a license!!!
The shim ran a Red Light as well:mad::mad::mad:

My G
OMFG! Its over (T_T) - G35Driver

Anyways just be happy you'll be able to step on the clutch another day bro!!!
It hurts to always lose something you treasure but it might lead to new doors opening for you as it did with me:rolleyes:
I just bought my 40th 7days ago to help the mourning process...just find something else...
remember all great things come to an end:shakes head::shakes head::shakes head:
but I am sooooo sorry for your loss bro:shakes head: so sorry

Too bad it breaks down all by itself. :D

Grandma is accepting 100% blame for the accident, so no having to fight the insurance company:tup:

I took my car to Cerritos Nissan Collision Center and will let you guys know how well they repair the car. In the meantime, I've been renting a 2010 Mustang V6 auto convertible. This thing is a boat on wheels compared to my MINI.

Has anyone had experience and success with filing a Diminished Value Claim (DVC) in CALIFORNIA? From what my insurance agent told me and reading online, California does not really do DVC. I would need to hire an independent appraiser and most likely a lawyer to get a DVC to be taken seriously by an insurance company in California. If this is the case, I don't want to go through all the trouble and money for a DVC that I may not even get. Is this accurate for California?

I am very sorry to hear of this misfortune the good part being that you escaped unharmed and not confined to a wheel chair..
but I will never forget the time I stopped my car at a stop sign several years ago and then heard a screeching and crash behind me..I was not hit but i got out and the guy behind me had been hit and he also got out and looked at the back end of his car.. badly damaged.. and here is the worst part .. it was a Lexus and he was bringing it home and it still had the paper in the window with the info about the car.,(whatever you call that thing..) I just remember him putting his hands to his face and saying "Oh my God I dont believe this!!!"
Still I am sorry to hear of this misfortune but seriously hope there is only cosmetic damage..

Very well said.. but of course sometimes we all lose perspective..he could have been confined to a wheel chair,..,l know a young mother in her early thirties that is confined just this way,, she has two children and her husband left her shortly after the accident.. so you are right.,..this thing is only a car and the entire incident needs perspective
