^^ this. but still, AT is too boring to drive around my town. too many straight roads. when l lived near canyons over a decade ago i had a AT coupe with manual shift and loved it. it depends on the application...and in those days they didn't have clutch based AT's that i could afford. even with the torque converter it was fun to drive.

but traffic being a reason to get AT, that's just lame. MT to me is easier to drive in congestion and bumper to bumper.
