its a good and bad thing this kind of technology. I think its similar to synchro rev match. Yes, it makes it easier to drive stick and takes some of the required skill out of driving. However, it also maybe helping to attract more people to driving stick, who otherwise would have not considered it. The fact of the matter is that less and less people are wanting to drive stick with each passing year. Its not even offered on a lot of vehicles anymore. Once enough people stop wanting it, it won't be made anymore. So if this helps keep it alive i'm all for it. However, like synchro rev match, it SHOULD be able to be turned off, which as far as i know, on many models, you can't turn off the hill assist, and thats kind of stupid.
