yes, but with 436bhp, the current SS is no faster than the previous iteration with 350bhp. That weight soaks it up.

With a supercharger though.
Slap on a TT in the Z and you can be at 450-500 depending on what PSI you want to run.

and it will cost the same or more as the GT500, thus killing the "value" of owning it. Ford is dropping the 5.4 engine in the GT500 and will be using the 5.0 engine for the next iteration, it makes more power at a lower PSI, so expect the GT500 to be making 600+ as well. The Whipple 2.3L kit is already making 624hp and 560 ft/lbs at 9 psi.

Rumor was the GT500 would get the Raptor's 6.2L.

Saw 2 GT500's today. TWO! Must be a Mustang car show in the area. Unheard of. Sweet, sweet growl to that engine.

In 10 years gasoline in the USA will be $16/gallon and we'll be driving Nissan Leafs. "Till then, enjoy your Z

This is true. But mainly I hate them because of all the douchebaggery they promote.

The only purpose these comparos serve anymore is to highlight the fact that the true "car guy" is (sadly) a dying breed. Happens on any forum with any car... far too many become brand fanbois these days.

Anyways, both are awesome cars and you can't go wrong with whichever you choose if you happen to be cross-shopping them. I know because I've owned both, and I'm not a brand-fanboi douchebag.

But your name is Mustang :stirthepot:

I think the whine of the twin screw under the hood is what makes it supremely badass, you can hear them whining there way up and down the street, EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Tsssssss (that is my text description of the sound, add rep like you should.)

That is EXACTLY the sound! You have been repped, and should go into a career describing engine/exhaust sounds to the hearing impaired! :tiphat::bowrofl:

This, exactly. Remember what happened following the horsepower wars of the 60s? The same thing is going to happen again and real soon. So we all need to quit hating and enjoy our high-horsepower cars while we still can!.
