Why would that matter on in auto, I don't believe you can neutral drop in one anyway. You would screw up the tranny pretty quickly if you could.

I don't think there's a rev limiter in neutral in the auto but then again I've never felt the urge to rev all the way to redline while not in gear.

Is this to show off at the red lights?

I'm sure it can be taken out with tuning. Any decent tuning platform should have access to modifying the rev limit...

The bigger question would be why you would want to....

There most definitely IS a rev limiter in neutral. It's 4k on the auto as well

With the 6M/T, you just have to push the clutch in and put it into first gear which will let you rev to your heart's content. I do not think this is possible with the 7AT though.

it might be possible if u rev it to 4k in neutral dump it, spin the rears, get the motor to 7k, then push it back into neutral and keep applying the gas.

Does everyone have this limiter while on neutral?
I remember revving past 4000 one day when i was letting my friend hear my intakes.
Now I'm wanting to try it again just to be sure...this thread is making me wonder whether I revved past 4000 or not.
I am 95% sure though that I revved past 5000 on neutral to hear the intakes.
I haven't done any tuning.
Oh well...I'll try it tomorrow and see if I have that limiter on neutral or not.

Doesn't that burn up your clutch?
