Default Z up on Jacks

So i was just perusing through the "storing the Z in winter" thread and I wanted some additional suggestions. My question is......Do I put the Z up on jacks off the ground for the winter (4 months ) or does that damage or cause harm? Also, if I do put it up on jacks, do I still have to inflate the tires to 40 psi?

I looked around and you can get them for around $230 at a few different places.

Wouldn't you still run the risk of getting flat spots on the tires where they are sitting?

It seems like you could easily make these out of wood for the cost of 2 4x4x8' pieces of wood and some screws/glue...

1. Cut each 4x4x8' 8 equal length pieces
2. Make template that matches outer curvature of tire (including ramp and flat spot so you can drive up and into the dip)
3. Use a band saw to make the cuts
4. (Repeat 4x) - Attach 3 pieces together to make a 12" wide ramp

Edit: this would only use 12 of the 16 pieces... so if you NEEEED 16" wide ramps, just connect 4 pieces together :P

When I left for NYC I left my prelude on 4 Jack stands for about 5 months. You should roll down the window and disconnect the battery. Or you may start the car every couple weeks.

Race Ramps products are nice, but indeed expensive. The stoppers shown there are for if you just want to drive up into the cup. I have the 2-piece wheel cribs (RR-WC-12-2) that are essentially the same thing, but you have to jack your car up to put the cribs under each tire. The 12" cribs are more expensive, but can be had for ~$135 if you Google the part number. There are even 8" cribs. BTW, I'm suggesting the 2-piece ones so you get a total of 4 components.

No, no, no... nitrogen is rounder than air.
