You will not believe this

So iv'e had my 09 in the shop three times with a service engine soon light with the code saying small evac leak. so after two gas caps and a filler hose (the part the gas cap screws into) the light still comes on. here's where it gets fun.
took it back this morning pissed off and said enough is enough. so now they are trying this out. they filled up the tank with gas at there expense then after putting back on the second new gas cap GOT SOME BLACK DUCT TAPE AND TAPED THE CAP INTO PLACE SO IT WOULDN'T MOVE I GUESS. They told me to drive the car until it got down to 1/4 tank and bring it back. They would do this test twice and if the light stays off they would then order another new gas cap.

If light comes on before then they said they would have to call in a another nissan factory tech. sorry to ramble but needed to vent.

I'm telling you, you should look under the Lemon Law of your state. PM me if you want the Nissan North America email.

That's just retarded, they should test the EVAP system for leaks using a smoke/leak detector machine. If I was you I would never take my car to that dealership again.

they've got one more chance to get it right thanks for the info about smoke machine.then its lemon law time. this code has been an issue since the car had 800 mile on it. it now has 5500
