They told me to drive the car until it got down to 1/4 tank and bring it back.They would do this test twice and if the light stays off they would then order another new gas cap.

If light comes on before then they said they would have to call in a another nissan factory tech. sorry to ramble but needed to vent.

That's just retarded, they should test the EVAP system for leaks using a smoke/leak detector machine. If I was you I would never take my car to that dealership again.
