Mine had 28, but had just arrived at the dealership. More importantly to me is that it had just arrived. My '06 had sat at the dealership for almost 2 months by my calculations, and outside at that. It had a nasty case of acid rain "etching" on the hood that I was never able to fully buffed out. The 370Z finish was perfect.

I was lucky... I didn't order mine. I walked into a dealership and saw the only yellow 370. It still had the plastic on it. I purchased it that same day with only 7 miles on it. 4 of which were from test driving it.

Guys,

It's very, very normal for a "new" car to have some mileage on it. Every car coming off the line is driven around a test course to check for things like squeaks, rattles, etc. as well as many the function of many of the options...the factory tries to catch such problems before shipment. Some cars get picked form more testing.

Mileage will vary but in the overwhelming majority of cases, any mileage you see is likely to be "factory/shipping" mileage and not just someone out joy riding.

I will probably redline it as soon as im out of the dealer... and then keep the RPMS all over the place for about 1000 miles w/ a single redline run twice a week....(about every 100 miles)...

so i went to the dealer today. and the closest dealer with the car i want is approx 350 miles. they will do a dealer swap for me. but the car will be driven back, instead of trucked back. so my car would come with minimal, 350 miles, and i'd assume it'll have close to 400 with the miles already on it. if i were to get it trucked down, it'd cost me approx $350. what's everyones opinion on this?

Def get it delivered on a flatbed. $350 is nothing considering you're spending $35,000. It's the money you pay for peace of mind. If you let the guy drive it, (also note that "this guy" could be the 17 year kid that loves to do burnout) there will always be that small unsatisfactory feeling about your car. Even if everything is just the way it suppose to be, there will always be a feeling that car has been abused. Also, nothing feels better than driving off a 4 mile (on odometer) Z. I told my dealer either a. car needs to get here on a flatbed (I'm paying for all expense) or b. Nissan car movers (big trucks that bring Zs from port). He was able to do option 2 so I didn't pay a single dime BTW, this is MY opinion.

i was told, (i've bought a car from the salesman before), that the guys they use to get the cars from other dealers are retiree's, that the only thing they do for nissan is go get other cars. so it's a little piece of mind. going to get the car myself is practically out of the question with the hours i work, on sat and sun. i wish i could get a nissan car mover, but he didn't make it sound like that was an option.

Mine had 172 on it when I got back home from Indy where my dealer did a "Dealer Trade" to get it. And I didn't have to pay the $350 to have it done.
