I was in a part of town I'm not too familiar with..Of course in TX, everyone is carrying heat so you really have to be careful not to lose your cool..Also, insurance was under his dad name, any chance ins. will not pay for the damage?

His insurance should pay because is the car not the driver. However the insurance could find a loop hole.

If not you are going to need to sue to hell out of the dad. GL
