Mt Tam I am 07-21-2010 09:53 AM

I too so rarely use the A/C, I often wonder if it will still works, months between usages. I never noticed it in my 300 ZX either, although I do remember turning it off in anticipation of spirited driving.
I am in medium thick fog today @ 52* and plan on trying A/C cutoff this morning.
I hope mine is not broken like Red370's, although my cars diapers have not needed changing thus far.

A/C is a drag, literally, but I'm not sure if it has to do with my pulleys. It's great when A/C is off, but throttle response lags so bad 2nd gear feels like 5th gear acceleration at some point. Plus, accelerating in 1st feels like launching in 2nd.

the day i don't use AC if its hot as hell out, is the day i gut my interior to make my car lighter.

you can still have a good nut sweat with the AC on if you use the seat warmers!

Yeah it's been hot as hell this summer, so AC is blasting in my car!!!

:iagree: the other day some guy in a cobalt revved at me, so I figured i'd do a spirited run up to the speed limit of course, which was 50, ol' Roxy epicly failed. I dont think this car likes running with the AC on or high oil temps. The car just feels extremely weak in the lower revs with the AC on, when I'm driving with it off, I can feel a night and day difference in low end torque. I do however, like my exhaust note at idle when the AC is on, kinda burbly.

Ditto... it bogs easily. I don't recall the 350Z having this issue other than the A/C compressor growl (replaced under warranty from TSB). I'm still running on a stock tune, but the 370Z definitely begs to be force fed.

at WOT, mazda miatas shed their massively strong doors to save weight and improve accelleration, then they grow new ones once you come off the gas.

:iagree: When I'm driving spirited, the windows go down and the A/C will be off, regardless of outside temps.

:iagree: If NASCAR drivers withstand 140 degree temps for 5 hours with a fire suit on, we can deal with 90-100 with shorts and a t-shirt!!!
