18 here. Worked out in the heat for over 2 years saving for a car ( didnt know what i wanted at that time). Then the 370 hit me like a train. No regrets yet!

Now there's a post I can agree with. And I'm 55! This thin hit me like a train on an extended test drive. Talk about a car that's a Home Run. :iagree:

19 had a 300zx went out saw this thing at a dealership. Came back next day with the parents just to show them it and bought it right there. Proud to say i work full time and pay my own bills no handouts here.

My first Z was 1985 300ZX.
Since then, I do not like much of any of the later Z designs until the the 370Z came out.
Love at first sight, bought the very first 370Z delivered to the dealer.

Picked up the car on my 26th bday, first sports car, first stick shift, saved up since i started to work when i was 16 and paid full in cash, so now i'm poor.

Slowly saving money again, the Z is worth every penny and i still can't stop admiring her after owning it for 6 months. (Maybe because i only drive it 1 or 2 days out of the week :) Little bothered by the pearl white paint contrast from the front and rear bumpers, but i should be happy even owning a Z.

What you see in the poll is really the "age of Z owners who have discrectionary time to waste on Forums".

Not representative of Z owners. Anyroad...

So different than my G, despite the fact that they are related. Absolutely loving it so far!

47. When I wanted a Z (which ever number was out then) at 20 something but was to poor in college, then when I got my professional job and could afford one, but bought a house, got married, could afford one, but it was impractical as we discussed having a family. Now that my kids are 16 and 15, no more mini vans, I will let them drive the old Accord and I now have my Z.

I was 15 in 1985 when I got a new Fiero GT. It was silver and I only had a learner's permit. I paid my dad $149 per month, which covered the note. My parents paid my insurance. I had to delay getting my license for 6 months (but still paid the note) after I turned 16 because of an unfortunate WOT incident when I sneaked the car out.

17 - 1986 Honda Civic -- had to pay for it, rent and college. Had to give up the Fiero.

18 - 1988 Suzuki Samurai -- couldn't afford much, but HAD to have fun again. I think I paid something like 14% interest on the loan.

20 - 1990 Toyota Tercel -- wrecked the Samurai (not my fault) and needed a practical commuter car.

23 - 1992 Ford Explorer Sport -- needed an SUV for work. Understood for the first time that the term "Sport" is relative.

25 - 1996 Mazda MX-6 -- Got my first job in advertising and a car to match. Leather interior, V6. I loved that car.

28 - 2000 BMW MZ3 -- Newly divorced and working in a new job in a new city, I actually took delivery of the car on my ex-wife's birthday.

30 - 2001 BMW 330Cic -- Slightly used, but perfect in every way. It had the M sport package NO Premium PKG (stainless, instead of wood trim) was black on black and cost a fortune. My right brain loved that car. My left brain hated it.

32- 2002 Honda Civic -- I quit my job to start my own agency and needed to economize.

34 - 2005 Honda Accord -- advertising business in full free-fall, start-up agency deemed an ego-maniacal miscalculation. Went into real estate and needed a car with leather interior and auto transmission for carting clients around. Hated it.

36 - 2006 Mazda MX-5 -- Got the first of the NC models. Found it to be a flawless car. I was trying to recapture my MZ3 feeling. I actually liked the Miata better. 30 more HP would make an MX-5 the perfect car, I think. I began making plans to buy a Mazdaspeed Miata as soon as it came out. It never did. I was always conscious of driving a prom queen's car, but those who know it, know it is anything but. It is nimble, tossable and fits like a glove. A great sports car.

40 - 2010 370Z Roadster -- Made VP at my agency and needed a more grown-up ride. However, roadsters were in my blood. Narrowed my choices down to three cars -- a 335 convertible (not really a roadster) a Z4 (a little soft and WAY overpriced) or the Z. All things being equal I would have chosen the Z anyway. It is perfect. I've wanted one since I was in high school. This one was worth the wait. I am loving it in every way.

23109c 02-08-2010 12:03 AM

my birth cert might say 47, but you are never to old to drive a great car!

purecustom370 02-08-2010 01:31 PM

I am 15 and will be 16 in 6 months and I am buying the 370z in a couple months and putting new rims on it and new intake and exhaust and tinted windows and different color door handles.
