I drove a stick from my 1989 Ford Super Coupe (second car) through two Maximas (my last being a 2005 SE...awesome transmission...incredible shifting on that which I attribute in part to the Amsoil synthetic gear oil I used) but for the 370Z, if you want performance, then I honestly feel the automatic is the way to go and is what I got.
Review after review will show the autos .1 to .2 seconds quicker in the quarter. I believe the Corvettes are that way now too. The technology has just gotten that good. I don't particularly care for an auto but the paddle shifters make it tolerable and the .1 to .2 seconds difference (more unless you are a good stick man) in the quarter is worth giving up on some fun for me. Drive both and see what you prefer though. |
