I feel like the MT with Syncrho rev match is more advance technology that the Auto tranny in this car. This is car just uses a torque converter, its not really considered advanced tech anymore. a lot more economy class cars now have a automatic as standard or a very cheap option. Double clutch=advanced. Torque Converter = been around a while.

btw IS this the same 7AT as the G37?
Hey you can feel any way you like. This auto is very fast, it's documented faster than the 6mt. Sorry if that pisses you off. Get over it.

In manual mode there is no significant delay in switching gears (in terms of human shifting, it is faster than that.)

Most technological advances are faster than man could do on his own. and it doesn't piss me off at all. I dont care if the auto is .06 seconds or whatever faster in the 1/4 mile, i don't do 1/4 miles on the way to work. they are equal in every other factor (handling, skid pad, braking distance). for the .00whatever faster it is in the 1/4, i'll take the fun factor of manual over it ANY day. the camaro 2ss beats our car in the quarter mile. I dont see anyone here with 7AT transmissions suddenly lining up to buy it because it has a half a second better stock 1/4 time than our car. WHY? because the Z is more fun to drive and better handling. 6spd, many would agree is more fun to drive and same handling as the 7AT. So since i got this car to be fun to drive, i had to intentions of compromising.

By delay, i dont mean in the actual gear shift itself, i mean in the time that you press the stick/paddle in sport mode to the point that the gear starts to change seems a little laggy. Like if you click the stick forward and then take your hand away from it immediatly, you sense it more. its like .click, hand off........................gear change.
