Audio Interference with My Sony HD webbie

Hi all,

I just bought a Sony HD Webbie. 1080P camera and mounted it inside the car on top of the rear strut brace. I notied unusually high levels of audio crackles and pops in my recordings. I initially thought the noises came from the vibrations of the car rubbing against the camera. But it wasn't. I removed the mount and simply held in in my hands and shot some videos of the car driving.
The noises were still there. Then I realize the noises only appear when the car is in gear and moving. I have the 6MT, the difference is very obvious. No crackles and pops when the car is not in gear. When the car is in gear, and slowly rolling, then crackles and pops were recorded. I am sure this is not an audible noise but some kind of interence. I am trying to figure out when the RF interernce is coming from.

Further investigated the problem. Here is what I ruled out.
---With the engine off, and gear in neutral, rolled down a slope and no audio pops. Which ruled out the tire wheels.
---With the engine in idle, and gear in neutral, no audio pop. Ruled out the engine and alternator.
---Rev'd the engine while gear in neutral, no audio pop. Further rule out the engine and alternator.
---Sychro Rev on/off, audio pop. Ruling out the SRM.
---Engine running, car moving with gear engaged, loud audio pop.
---Engine running, car moving, gear not engaged, loud audio pop.
So the audio problem has something to do with the moving parts while the car is on. Possibly the transmission, or tire pressure sensor?
