It is absolutely DIY -- about a 5 to 10 minute job.

I know it's been covered a few times. But what exactly are the benefits? More feel to the clutch travel instead of just a numb clutch in and clutch out without really knowing where the friction point is?

If you decide to go back to the stock spring, it is just as easy.

Thanks!!
What's the cost for one of those springs? Can I get one myself? I'm such a wimp I might not even want to do the mod in fear of me damaging something haha |

Oh, and on the shifter issue. I really hadn't thought about the heat/cold part. I guess because I have never had a metal shifter before. Great point!
I am still partial to the shape, feel, and material of the Z32TT shifter...

Nick, the reason that we are trying to get another group buy together is that we have been unable to find anyone to sell that spring in a low quantity for a reasonable price. If we do a group buy, it will be between 15-20 bucks shipped. If you try to order one, they charge almost 60 with setup fees and shipping. If a reputable, existing vendor would buy a large quantity of them, it wouldn't be an issue. Right now, no one stocks them.

So I'm curious, other cars I've felt the clutch on that were manual, when you engage and disengage there's a part in the clutch travel where the clutch travel has a totally different "stiffness" to the clutch past a certain point. Is that what this is going to add?

Hello Mr Kenchan. I think you need 3 rubberbands to make it work.

I originally learned to drive stick on my dads 1978 porsche 911sc and the cabled clutch on that thing gives a super over exaggeration of what I'd assume the pedal will feel like. That clutch is heavier than anything else I've driven before.
