^^ Ive heard of this before, the only one getting a deal out of it will be Nissan. Don't get rid of your Z. Weather it's worth it money wise just depends on if you owe anything or not on the car but in the end your going to lose money either way. Don't do it!

No Z action today, although the poo poo was blocking me in the parking space tonight after work. He would not even move when I threw on my burn a hole in your skull LED reverse lights. Ahh...then I realized he just wanted to check out my LED strip.

Christian370z, if it's too good to be true then it must be false.

Bought lots of goodies!

Haven't added up the total yet (don't think I want to with rego which is approx $1000 coming up in a few days).

Navtool
Front/Rear Sony CCD Cameras
Switch for the front camera
Illuminated Kick Plates
Nismo black aluminum shift knob
R35 GTR start button!

They are coming in from all over the world so it'll probably take about two weeks to arrive.

I'll update with some pics when they turn up

Then they called again so I answered it and it was a lady from the sales department at the Nissan dealer I bought the car from. She asked if I was thinking about selling the car any time soon and I obviously said no.

She replied that they would like to buy the car back since they had a client that was looking for my exact model, especially since their service records say that the car is low mileage and immaculate. At this point, I was thinking I would entertain this whole deal just to see what they would offer for the car. I also told her that the car is modified and she said that the client is even more interested, although I would remove the HFCs, exhaust, G3 intakes, sway bars and the interior CF pieces.

So I don't know, I'm just curious as to how much they offer. I also don't even know what I'd replace the Z with for 30k or less that is faster, just as much fun to drive and look at, but could be a bit more practical.

Ask them for a direct replacement. And tell them you will be keeping the aftermarket parts for the new Z. Stick it to 'em!! lol
Might add if they say you got a deal, tell them to give the new car to the buyer and you will keep yours.

Waizzz - apologies if I'm repeating myself here, but you have one of the best looking cars on the Board. Perfect stance, color combo with the wheels, and I'm loving the front dive planes.

Great avatar.

Rep to you sir!

Today will involve the sanding and repainting of some rusty front suspension arms and swapping brake pads.

I owe nothing which is a great feeling, but you're right I was thinking that even if they were trying to hook a client up, there must be something in it for them and I have no faith in any offer they would make. Plus, my car is still in brand new condition with some great mods and 6,000 miles and I love the car to bits.

Haven't received an offer, but I am going to tell the sales person no anyway. I love the Z too much, although increasingly I have found myself wishing for a more practical car.

Haha, yeah right! They actually had a really nice GM 2011 Sport Touring on the lot last time I was there but I have had great luck with my Z so there is no way I'm giving up such a good thing!

Nah, but I did miss a call from this girl last night at 3am saying she wishes she was here with me... Haha, but she loves my car and always asks for rides so there is no way she'd want me to get rid of it.

A good luck day!

Drove the Z only to get the winter wheels mounted with the new Blizzaks for fun in Germany during the winter!
As I was hanging out at the coffee bar inside my dealer the OWNER actually approached me with a strange looking round piece of metal. In his best english he told me there was a 'problem' and I should come back to the service area.

He showed me the problem! The top of the wheel lock had broken off the left rear wheel as they were completing the mounting of it. So about 3/4ths of it was left on the stud. He was very concerned about how this would come off in terms of potential wheel damage.

I told him no worries. Just do the best you can and if you scratch the wheel I will live with it(its a winter wheel, yes its a Rays 19 sport) or order a used one off the web here if possible etc. I am so happy this occurred at the dealer and not on the Autobahn in the snow, cold or rain :)

Plus the OWNER actually continued to PERSONALLY work on my car! :) How many dealer owners ANYWHERE would make such an effort and at times he had 1 or 2 other helpers working the issue.

SUCCESS! Using a fine and sharp, strong punch he coaxed the remaining piece to slowly turn left for removal. Set of needle nose plyers and slowly and methodically the piece was safely removed with ZERO damage!! Wooohooooo!

At that point I asked that all wheel locks be removed and replaced with normal Z lugs. They can have the wheel locks brother!! Here is a pic of the damage with all the other good ones. My guess is that it was over torqued and had a fine crack on it. The interior of both pieces have rust from moisture intruding!

Car is fine and had a full alignment as well. Great day which could have been far far more painful!!

hahaha. dang how come no girls call me at 3am asking for me to come over. or maybe i am and wife is just erasing them. :icon17:

Dallaz 11-10-2011 12:45 PM

@DLSTR

I've had a similar problem on my 3000gt where one lug was on so tight it had to be snapped off (believe me, we tried everything) breaking the stud!

Your right though, if either of our problems were to have arisen after a flat tire on the highway especially in bad weather conditions it would have been a lot worse
