Onzedge, I forget that you are one of the lucky few who owns a 240 also. Please post more pics of that (and your 40th too) :D

Great job on the detailing. I would give you a rep but I have to spread it around first it says....lol.

Here is one from a few weeks ago (Son #1 borrowing it for the night and Son #2 in his 82 280zx in the background).

Thanks Christian... yeah, I'm proudly OCD :) Detailing is in my veins... How does 110 gas affect the Z? It won't hurt it will it?

I have a tune so I have a map on the ECU to run higher octane gas, however I will mix in that gas half/half with standard 91 octane that we get out in Cali. If you don't have a tune, a little bit won't hurt if you mix it in with a lot of normal gas. It will give you a bit better throttle response and maybe a bit of power.

I've read half and half reviews about them. Seems the app sometimes doesn't read in real time constantly. Plus with the gauge scan device you can check and erase SES light.

oh i see... thanks for the info. i'd prefer to have real-time 100% of the time... so i guess scan-guage2 might be more in line. :)

Juruki... nice job with the rims. I like how you kept the nissan emblem chrome to match the lug nuts. I wonder how all would look black??? hmmmm

Btw, I see you peeking in the 2nd pic! :D you look determined... hehe...

Also, I like how you REMOVED your rim prior to plasti dipping... maybe you can tell Ken that? HAHA, I kid Ken...

Man Plasti Dip is hot right now!!! I like the card trick for masking them, good idea!

awesome!

ummm... you sprayed plasti-dip in the garage next to the M37? did you not encounter sticky overspray dust on the M37? :ugh2:

FromG2Z 08-15-2011 01:12 PM

You sure you didn't have your leaf blower on the whole time in the garage, Ken? ;)

As far as plasti dipping, how is the durability of that, esp on rims where they can get hot from both engine heat and braking???

oh is dat's watz going on? :D lol nono, it was actually perfect to paint in there. 75F, not muggy, and low wind condition.

for most street driving ive not gotten the wheels super hot to the touch. from wat they say, it handles -30F to 200F so i dont think heat will be a problem on the wheels unless you're pounding the brakes on a road course or downhill in the touge. :D

200F is 93C so that's pretty hot.

Went out to get some food and thats it.

update on my vestito kit.

STILL NOTHING HERE.

but as I said before they were offering a free new one but we have to pay the shipping. so my tunerguy has decided to pay for the shipping to help us out. he is going to his insurance to try and get the money back but still its so nice of him to pay for the shipping without knowing if he will get his money back. :tiphat:

don't know if it was air shipping or with boat again.

also FML I have been looking for tire dealers so I can check for prices on the yokohama ADVAN neova ad08. NOBODY has them, and I don't mean not in stock. they don't know the tires, they go "lol you mean the ADVAN sport?"

5 tire dealers and nobody knows them. but then again if you go on yokohama belgium's site you don't see the neova nor the A048. so probably they don't sell the tires here :shakes head: FML

I drove my car 5 minutes to work and it's just been sitting there because I am too busy with projects to go out today.

Well.. I am posting on here, but I needed a breather ;)
