Thinking about doing the same whenever I have time. How'd it go?

Hardwire was easy enough, fabbin' the button and securing the aux port to the shifter ring insert took some time. Ended up using epoxy on the aux after an existing bracket modification was proving not to be strong enough for constant plugging and unplugging. It wont be going anywhere now, but its placement is much more practical now :D.

A few quick pics (I'll be adding some more to the port relocate diy eventually):

^ nice! But wouldn't that block access to the temp controls? Either way nice clean install!

Thanks
I guess that would depend on the size of the charger. The topper isn't really in the way.

I took my time and tried to make it as clean as possible.

Nice Ken... although, beading is not necessarily a good thing ;) Actually, sheeting is much better. You should try Optimum opticoat sometime... it's sheets uber fast. Beading will remain on the surface after rain, attracting dirt/etc... then drying up (esp in sun), then mineral deposits (if tap water) and dirt will leave an etch in the paint... ala magnifying glass.

btw, the beading you see can also be effects of the existing wax or sealant (which I am sure you have on there at some point in the past, right?). The speedshine, though it has some wax/sealant properties also extends the life of the existing LSP.

Actually for cars that get QD'ed often you want beading as lubricity does not run off and maintains to be between the towel and surface. For dd's that are not QDed sheeting is preferred to prevent water stains...so I use prima Hydro on my G.

I just got the oil pressure sensor mounted as seen in my journal. I ran the wiring for the power to the gauges but haven't made the connections yet. I still have to run the wiring to the sensors also. Just a lot of little things. See what I get done tomorrow. Just wish now I didn't have a Dr. appt.

I drove the Z to my parents for dinner. The car runs ok under partial throttle to about 5k rpms...so I get to use maybe 350whp? I can't wait to get the car 100%...it's only been about 4 months :/

Haha, thanks all.
:icon17: I didn't even think of that. I'll just have to be extra careful, maybe rubber o-ring the topper as extra precaution, hmm.

Well, I layered Zena with a 2nd coat of SN. The paint keeps getting wetter with every layer. I then kenchaned her to work on Sunday for some photos. I QD'd right after, and will add a 3rd layer of SN tomorrow. I also started playing with HDR's... I must say, this is fun. I do need a mini tripod though.

I will upload more pics in the photography thread and the Pearl White thread... The last photo below is the only HDR.
