My worry about the edge being visible as it gets dirty might be unfounded because I never drive my car in adverse weather, and she gets detailed all the time..... What you guys think? go for it?

i would man.

I am in the SAME boat man..been thinking about it for weeks and haven't pulled the trigger. Main thing holding me back is I think I want to get an aftermarket front.

FromG2Z 06-30-2011 08:32 AM

So I pretty much will have the following clearbra'd when I am done with all of this

bumper - DONE
hood (1/3)
front fenders (1/3)
a-pillars - DONE
lower skirts - DONE
mirrors- DONE
door handles
rear valence 3M CF- DONE
front bumper trim 3M CF
b-pillars 3M CF
kick plates 3M CF (ala opposite of what Kenchan did - black plastic in 3M, and leave brushed aluminum exposed)

what you guys think?

I'm running swifts with no camber kits. Rear is a tad more than ideal, but no camber wear at all. I can post a pic after work.

i still recommend you do the full hood and fenders, not just the fronts. this way you wont see the offending line and you wont have to worry about fitment cause the installer can wrap and tuck it into the seams.

i also recommend you do the rocker panel as well. ever since using spacers on stock 19's and my current Weds i have quite a bit of hit forward of the quarter-panel arch near the bottom. im using a long strip of Xpel down there and it's been great. will replace in a year or so and re apply. :p

kenchan 06-30-2011 10:13 AM

this am i was treated by a white 370Z driving in front of me to work. :p completely stock but still looked awesome.

im going to see if my local stores have the backless booster seats for my kid later on tonight. my wife's going to take my older kid to school on Sat she said so that I can play with my Z, but i dont want to ask her every weekend... she's not a real good morning person. :D hahaha.

Drop it Econ!! Like I stated before Swifts are on backorder everywhere. If you order now you may not get till the end of July or so. If you go H&R the drop will prob require a kit since the drop is more severe than the Swifts. Like I said previously, most people are getting their Swifts back to OEM settings.

Econ 06-30-2011 11:47 AM
